HISTORIC & UNFORGETTABLE
Bringing our community together through spaces designed for connection.

Come experience a collection of spaces designed to bring people together across Champaign and Urbana—each rooted in connection, creativity, and unforgettable experiences. Built in 1914 and modeled after the Opera House at Versailles, The Orpheum Theater began as a vaudeville and film house, hosting iconic acts like the Marx Brothers and Harry Houdini while becoming a cornerstone of community entertainment. The Chester Street Lofts, designed in 1957 by renowned architect and University of Illinois professor Jack S. Baker, are a pioneering example of open loft living ahead of their time. In Urbana, the Royer House, designed and built in 1905 by architect Joseph Royer, stands as a rare Midwestern example of Mission-style architecture inspired by the 1904 World’s Fair. Together, these historic and unforgettable spaces invite you to host events that feel natural, memorable, and uniquely your own.
Experimental, community-driven, and creatively charged—a space that fosters unexpected experiences.
Grand, historic, and cinematic—designed for one of a kind moments that feel larger than life.

Relaxed, academic, and inviting—ideal for thoughtful connection and a more intimate pace of gathering.
